John can walk to school in 40 minutes while his brother, Jack, takes 20 minutes. If they both start walking to school at the same time, how long will it take for John to be 2/5 as far as Jack.
Are you sure your answer is right?
I'm getting J=1200 and B=360.
In order to verify, you may want to substitute the answer back to the question.
I think you are trying with 1/3 of Brian's saving instead of 30%

Hi there,
Thanks so much for your quick and clear explanation as always :)
I would like to trouble you with another question
Tom and Jerry shared a total amoutn of $198. Tom had $10 more than Jerry. Tom spent 25% as much as Jerry. Afterwhich he had left twice the amount compared to Jerry. How much did Tom have left ? [$92]
When drawing the model, I'm having trouble deciding if the $10 more is part of the amt Tom spends or not
Thanks in advance
